Forsyth Barr Investment Advisor Nick Fenn has added a new question to his client review checklist. The question focused on legacy and community. By asking, “Have you considered leaving a gift to the community in your will?”, Nick has opened the door to meaningful conversations about what matters most to his clients, whether that's supporting local people, places, or causes.

When a long-standing client shared that she wanted to give back to South Canterbury but didn't know how, having no particular charity in mind, Nick recognised that the Aoraki Foundation could help.

A simple referral led to a conversation about her wishes and resulted in a potentially significant gift in her will that will benefit the Aoraki region for generations to come. Most importantly, it gave the client peace of mind, knowing her legacy will continue to do good in the place she calls home.
