Generation Give empowers young people to make a difference through giving, volunteering and creating positive change in their communities.
What is Generation Give…
Generation Give is a youth-led initiative from Aoraki Foundation that celebrates and supports the everyday generosity of young people across South Canterbury. Rather than focusing on monetary donations, it recognises the many ways rangatahi give, through their time, energy, ideas, and care for others.
Through a flexible, student-driven approach, Generation Give encourages young people to get involved in causes that matter to them, whether that’s volunteering, fundraising, or acts of service like preparing community meals or supporting local initiatives. The programme connects students with opportunities, shares their stories, and helps make their impact more visible.
At its heart, Generation Give is about empowering the next generation to be active contributors in their communities while ensuring those contributions are recognised for what they truly are: generosity in action.
